BIRMINGHAM, Ala.– LSU, in day two of the CCB Collegiate Invitational, had three singles players compete in the quarterfinals.

Senior Tam Trinh, against the University of Texas’s Adrian Ortiz, fell 6-4, 6-2. Freshman Cameron Andry, facing Southern Miss’s Teeradon Tortrakul, lost the first set 6-1 with a close second set loss, 7-5. Both Trinh and Andry sustained minor injuries.

LSU’s Gabor Csonka faced Middle Tennessee’s Gian Issa in the singles quarterfinals. Csonka took the first set 6-4 but couldn’t quite finish out the match, ending with a 2-6, 5-7 loss in the second and third sets.

“Gabor played well for us today,” Head Coach Jeff Brown said. “He missed some opportunities and just fell short of the finals.”

Duo Trinh/Csonka faced the University of Texas’s Ortiz/Zlobinsky in the doubles finals of the CCB Collegiate Invitational. The pair had a close match but eventually lost to the Longhorns with a score of 8-7(4).
