LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The LSU women’s tennis wraps up the fall schedule with the UNLV Invite November 13-15 at the Frank and Vicki Fertitta Tennis Complex.
Competition begins at noon CT each day and the invitational features players from Texas A&M, Idaho, Oklahoma, USC, TCU and Baylor. Of the teams represented, six finished last season ranked and three finished in the top-10.
Freshman Jessica Golovin has impressed so far this season with a 6-3 record overall and 4-1 mark against ranked opponents. The freshman made it to the final of the ITA Southern Regional earlier this fall. Golovin will take on Oklahoma’s Christie Brigante in the opening round.
Sophomore Ryann Foster will team up with Golovin in doubles play against TCU’s Mia King and Alexis Pereira. In singles play, Foster is 5-4 and will face Elizabeth Profit of Baylor.
Upperclassmen Skylar Holloway and Ella Taylor are also participating in the tournament. The duo will team up in doubles against Idaho’s Ana Batirir and Lucia Badillos. Holloway will play USC’s Zoe Katz, who is ranked 111th in the country. Taylor rounds out the group of singles players. The senior will take on UNLV’s Mercedes Lopez Friday afternoon.
