BATON ROUGE, La. – Prior to the start of LSU’s volleyball match against the Auburn Tigers this Sunday, LSU athletics and the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes will host the 20th annual Halloween BOOzar event from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. outside of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
Featuring various student-athletes from across LSU’s many intercollegiate sports teams, the free event will provide a safe and fun environment for children of all ages and their parents with trick-or-treat activity stations and carnival games throughout the duration of the event in and around the PMAC. Kids will be able to interact with the student-athletes, along with Mike the Tiger, cheerleaders, Tiger Girls and various other members of the LSU coaching and training staffs.
Fans are encouraged to stay for the afternoon tilt between LSU and Auburn that begins at 1 p.m., as the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive an LSU trick-or-treat tote bag. The team will hold a post-match autograph session following the contest where there will be 2015 team posters available for signing. Like the BOOzar, the match will be free for fans.
With many of the festivities of the day being open to the general public, patrons are asked to bring canned good for the CCACSA’s food drive which will also be going on that day.
