BATON ROUGE – LSU Coach Johnny Jones and the members of the LSU men’s basketball team took part in LSU Basketball Media Day as the Tigers are now less than a month out from the season opener for the 2015-16 season.
Coach Jones met with the media in the practice facility media room before the media visited with the players in the practice gym for close to an hour. The media then joined the pro scouts from 28-of-the-30-teams on hand for the second of the NBA open practices as the Tigers went through a series of full-court and half-court drills before finishing the session again with full-court scrimmages with officials.
The fourth-year coach of the Tigers talked on many subjects during his time at the podium including expectation levels, the highly-ranked recruiting class, the new 30-second shot clock and the team’s August trip to Australia and how that will benefit the team moving forward.
The Tigers play their public exhibition game on Friday, Nov. 6 against Southwest Baptist while the season opener is one week later on Nov. 13 against McNeese State at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Season ticket information is available at www.LSUtix.net.
