TULSA, Okla. – Freshman Cameron Andry and transfer Gabor Csonka will make their debut for the Tigers in the Pre-Qualifying round of the ITA All-American tournament along with teammate Simon Freund Saturday at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

“We’re just looking to continue the momentum that the team has built the first two weeks,” Head Coach Jeff Brown said. “We’ve had good results from both events that we’ve been to so far so that excitement spills over with the team to those who weren’t at the events.”

“I’m pretty nervous but I’ve been playing tournaments all my life,” Andry said. “It’s my first tournament so I’m not expecting too much but I’m going to fight hard. The other guys have been teaching me what to expect with the crowd and stuff but other than that we all know how to play tennis.”

Freund earned two wins over ranked opponents in Nick Wood of the University of Georgia and Florin Bragusi of Oklahoma. Seeded the highest for the Tigers at 29th, Freud will take on Michael Sosnowski of Oral Roberts Saturday at 10 a.m. CT.

LSU’s Gabor Csonka will play the winner of Clemson’s Luke Johnson and Asher Hirsch of Illinois. After playing his freshman season at Ohio Dominican, Csonka finished the year with a 23-1 overall singles record as well as a 15-0 record at the No.1 singles position.

Andry rounds out the lineup for the Tigers. The freshman will face junior Damon Niquet of William & Mary. Niquet finished last season 12-7 in dual-match singles.
