ATLANTA – LSU women’s basketball head coach Nikki Caldwell was elected to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Board of Directors as announced Thursday for the 2015-16 academic year.
Caldwell is one of 10 NCAA Division I head coaches to be a part of the WBCA Executive Committee or WBCA Board of Directors.
The WBCA Board of Directors develops policies, procedures and regulations for the operation of the organization. It also monitors the organization’s financial health, programs and overall performance and provides the executive director with the resources necessary to meet the needs of those the organization serves.
LSU has collected four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances highlighted by a pair of NCAA Sweet 16 trips under Caldwell. The Lady Tigers also have secured a trio of 20-plus win seasons and have reached at least 10 SEC victories three times with Caldwell at the helm.
