BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU second baseman Jared Foster has been declared academically ineligible for the remainder of the 2015 season, coach Paul Mainieri announced Friday.
Foster, a senior from Lake Charles, La., will not be eligible for any remaining games this season, in effect ending his LSU baseball playing career.
Foster started in 40 of the Tigers’ 48 games this season, batting .275 with nine doubles, two triples, eight homers, 29 RBI, 29 runs and seven stolen bases.
