SIESTA KEY, Fla. — The LSU sand volleyball team (10-8) looks to rebound from their loss to Florida State as the team travels back to Florida this weekend for the Fiesta at Siesta Key Tournament.
The tournament starts on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and has two brackets, each with 16 teams. The first bracket includes the top three pairs from each school. The coaches for each team decide the pairs for the second bracket. Opponents for each team have yet to be determined.
“It’s kind of nice not having to worry about who we’re playing,” said head coach Russell Brock. “What you do is try to be ready to play our best ball. It’s definitely nice not having the other team be a factor in our preparation. We’re going to try and have our best match against whoever we play…We’ve had a good week hanging out together as a team, and I think they’ll be excited and we’ll be ready to play.”
