BATON ROUGE – The fourth-ranked LSU gymnastics team will have the home rotation by starting on vault at the NCAA Championships Semifinal II, the NCAA announced Monday.
LSU (24-2) will square off against No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 5 Alabama, No. 8 Auburn, No. 9 Nebraska and No. 12 Oregon State in semifinal II at 7 p.m. CT on April 17 in the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Semifinal I will begin at 1 p.m. on April 17, and it features No. 2 Florida, No. 3 Utah, No. 6 Michigan, No. 7 UCLA, No. 10 Georgia and No. 11 Stanford.
The top three finishers in each semifinal will advance to the NCAA Super Six on April 18, and the winner of the Super Six meet will be crowned national champion.
This marks the first time since 2007 that LSU will compete in the second national semifinal as the Tigers go for their third-straight Super Six appearance and fifth overall.
LSU will begin on vault and rotate to a bye, bars, beam, bye and floor. Oregon State will start on the bye before bars, while Auburn begins on bars, Nebraska on beam, Oklahoma on the bye before floor and Alabama on floor.
