BATON ROUGE – LSU golfer Elise Bradley, who won the LSU Tiger Golf Classic this past Sunday, was named the co-Southeastern Conference women’s golfer of the week as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Bradley shared the win with Regina Plasencia of Arkansas.
Bradley won on the second playoff hole of the LSU Tiger Golf Classic at the University Club in Baton Rouge. The junior from Mandeville posted rounds of 74-68-72 – 214 (-2) to tie for medalist honors in the Tiger Classic. Down a shot heading to the 54th hole, she made a 12-foot birdie putt down a ridge to force the playoff. Her 214 score tied the fourth lowest 54-hole total on the U-Club layout since the renovation of the course in 2010.
In the playoff, Bradley captured her first collegiate title with a par on the second playoff hole, the par 5 11th hole.
LSU won its third tournament in the last five events and has finished no worse than second in the last five events.
The LSU Lady Tigers, ranked sixth in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, will play next in the SEC Championships April 17-19 in Birmingham.
