BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The LSU sand volleyball team (6-7) heads back on the road this weekend for the Blazer Beach Duals Tournament at UAB. The Lady Tigers play matches Saturday against UAB and ULM at 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. LSU closes out tournament play on Sunday with matches against Spring Hill and UNO at 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.
The team is looking to build on their momentum from the past weekend, as the Lady Tigers tallied victories in three of their four matches with wins against UNO, UNF and FIU in their first home matches of the season.
“We need to continue to elevate our game and work on our consistency,” said head coach Russell Brock. “We need to hit consistent shots and we need to be disciplined and really handle our side out, and I think we did that really well at a lot of levels this past weekend, but we can always get better. We need to play with confidence even when we are compromised on the scoreboard.”
