BATON ROUGE, La. – With a No. 1 ranking and a healthy head of steam going into the stretch run of the season, fans will get a look at LSU softball like never before with the debut of Inside LSU Softball with Coach Torina, a 30-minute magazine show dedicated to the Tigers which will debut Thursday at 5:30 p.m. CT on Cox Sports Television.
Starting this week, the show will run for the next five consecutive weeks, beginning on Thursday before moving to its permanent time slot on Wednesday’s at 6 p.m. and following the Paul Mainieri Show on CST. The only deviation will be on Wednesday, April 15, as the show will air at 3:30 p.m. ahead of the station broadcasting the LSU-McNeese State doubleheader which is also that afternoon.
“We are so excited to give our fans an inside look at the program, as we hope this is another tool to help grow the game of softball,” head coach Beth Torina said. “We have such a special team this year, and I look forward to sharing the stories of these amazing young women who represent LSU with pride both on and off the field.”
LSU fans will also be able to catch airings of the show at 10 p.m. Thursdays on WBTR locally in Baton Rouge. This week’s show will also re-air at 9:30 p.m. later that night. Fans unable to catch the airings on CST or WBTR can look no further than LSUsports.net to catch the full replay of that week’s show, along with other videos on the team including game highlights and interviews with Torina and players.
