BATON ROUGE – LSU basketball sophomore forward Jordan Mickey asked to release the following statement Tuesday afternoon regarding any future basketball opportunities:
“With speculation that I may leave LSU for the NBA, or that I have already decided, that is not true. I have not made a decision one way or the other at this time. But with the help of my family and Coach (Johnny) Jones I do plan to explore my options regarding my future plans. The deadline to make a final decision is still a month away – I am still enrolled in school — and I will use that time to decide.”
Mickey earned first-team All-SEC honors as selected by the league coaches and media and averaged 15.4 points, a league leading 9.9 rebounds and a nation’s best 3.64 blocks per game.
