BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU men’s tennis team (14-3, 3-2 SEC) maintained their status as a top 25 team in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division One Men’s rankings where they came in at No. 24.
This is the second consecutive edition of ITA rankings that listed LSU in the top 25. The ranking comes after the Tigers defeated No. 62 Alabama by a score of 4-3 in Tuscaloosa. A Sunday match at Mississippi State was postponed to Sunday, April 12.
LSU joins Georgia (5), Texas A&M (9), Ole Miss (13), Vanderbilt (17) and Florida (20) as the six Southeastern Conference teams ranked in the top 25. Sophomore Jordan Daigle (75) is the lone ranked singles player for LSU while Daigle and junior Boris Arias (20) are ranked in doubles.
Next up for LSU is a home weekend against Ole Miss at 5 p.m. on Friday and No. 53 Arkansas at 1 p.m. on Sunday
