BATON ROUGE – The LSU gymnastics team earned the No. 4 overall national seed and will compete as the No. 1 seed at the NCAA Ames Regional inside Iowa State’s Hilton Coliseum at 4 p.m. CT on April 4, the NCAA announced Monday.

LSU (19-2) will be joined at the regional by No. 9 overall national seed and regional two seed Nebraska, No. 16 national seed and regional three seed Denver, four seed Washington, five seed Michigan State and sixth seed and host Iowa State.

Tickets to the regional and NCAA Championships are available for purchase at www.LSUtix.net.

This marks LSU’s 31st consecutive NCAA regional berth and the 33rd overall in school history. The Tigers are seeking their third straight regional title and 14th overall.

The two teams with the highest scores at the end of the regional will advance to the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, on April 17-19.

The rotation schedule for the regional competition has already been determined. As the No. 1 seed in the Ames regional, LSU will start the meet on bars and rotate to beam, bye, floor, vault and end on a bye.

Nebraska will start on the bye before bars, Denver will start on beam, Washington will open on the bye before floor, Michigan State will begin on vault and Iowa State will start on floor.

LSU will enter the competition ranked in the Top 5 on all four events, including the No. 1 ranking on floor. The Tigers are No. 2 on vault, No. 4 on beam and No. 5 on bars.

In the individual rankings, Rheagan Courville, Jessie Jordan and Ashleigh Gnat are all in the Top 15 of the all-around standings. Courville is No. 4, Jordan is No. 5 and Gnat is No. 13.

Courville also ranks third on vault and bars, while Jordan is third on beam and 17th on floor. Gnat is 10th on floor and 19th on beam.

Lloimincia Hall, the four-time SEC floor champion, is No. 1 on floor for the fifth straight week, and freshman SEC vault champion Myia Hambrick is 18th nationally on vault.

In addition to the six teams competing for a spot at the NCAA Championships, eight gymnasts will take part as individual competitors in the Ames regional.

Air Force’s Kim McRobbie, Jamie Lewis and Kara Witgen, along with Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Courtney Pickett and Katie Fiorilli will compete as individual all-arounders.

Air Force fills out the entire event specialist lineup as Jessica Wallander will compete on vault and bars, Annie Graft will compete on beam and Alexandra Stych will compete on floor.
