BATON ROUGE — The LSU sand volleyball team (3-6) plays their first four home matches of the season this weekend as the team hosts the Tiger Sand Tournament at the Mango Beach Volleyball Club.
LSU faces New Orleans and North Florida at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday. The Lady Tigers turn their attention to Florida International and Spring Hill on Saturday at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. All teams wrap up tournament play on Sunday in a Pairs Bracket Play that starts at 9 a.m.
“We’ve had a good week of practice, and it’s always fun to play at home,” said head coach Russell Brock. “It’s been a long time since we’ve done it, but last year it was a blast. We had great crowds and tons of support from the community. We’re excited to be back out and really looking forward to playing well at home.”
LSU looks to use the momentum from last weekend’s 3-2 match win against College of Charleston at the UNF Sand Invitational in Florida.
