ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The LSU sand volleyball team (2-3) travels to Florida for the UNF Sand Invitational at the St. Augustine Pier Saturday and Sunday.

LSU plays four matches in two days. The team faces Jacksonville and Georgia State on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. CT and 11:30 a.m. The Tigers then turn their attention to FIU and College of Charleston on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

“We spent a lot of time watching film this week seeing the things we can improve on,” said head coach Russell Brock. “We can hopefully gameplan a little better and address some of the issues we’ve seen in competition. We’ve been training and playing at a higher level than we competed, and we kind of wanted to bridge that gap and bring them both up to the same level.”

The team is led by the number one pair of Mandi Orellana and Katie Lindelow, who tallied wins in three of their five matches in Arizona.

The duo of Cati Leak and Callan Molle are also looking to extend their winning streak this season of five straight matches.

Last week in Arizona, the Lady Tigers opened up their season with wins against Arizona State and New Mexico
