BATON ROUGE — Mandi Orellana, Katie Lindelow and Helen Boyle of the LSU sand volleyball team were named to the 2015 Arizona Invitational All-Tournament Team Tuesday after their play this past weekend. The honors are the first for all three players for outdoor competition.
The pairing of Orellana, a freshman from Guatemala, and Lindelow, a senior from Mandeville, combined to win three of the five matches they played with wins coming against Tulane, Arizona State and New Mexico
Boyle, a senior from Eureka, Mo., and her partners Lilly Kessler and Laura Whalen took home two victories against Arizona State and New Mexico.
The team will return to action this Saturday against Jacksonville at 8:30 a.m. CT in the UNF Sand Invitational in St Augustine, Fla.
