BATON ROUGE – The LSU gymnastics team checked in at No. 3 with a 197.630 regional qualifying score (RQS) in the updated GymInfo rankings released Monday.
Oklahoma remained the No. 1 team in the nation with a 197.845 RQS, followed by Florida at No. 2 with a 197.690 RQS.
As a team, LSU (11-1, 7-0 Southeastern Conference) climbed to No. 1 on floor exercise after tying the school record with a 49.700 score against then-No. 16 Minnesota on Friday.
The Tigers established a program record with a 198.375 team score to beat the Golden Gophers, and that score ranks as the nation’s second highest this season.
After scoring a school-record 49.825 on vault, a score that ranks as the highest in the nation in any event, LSU moved up two spots to No. 4 on vault with a 49.465 RQS.
The Tigers are ranked third on beam at 49.305 and fifth on bars at 49.365.
Jessie Jordan, Rheagan Courville and Ashleigh Gnat lead the way as ranked gymnasts in the all-around. Jordan is No. 3 nationally with a 39.545 RQS, while Courville is No. 7 at 39.495 and Gnat is No. 16 at 39.375.
Jordan and Gnat are coming off respective career high performances in the all-around against Minnesota. Gnat won the title with a 39.725, and Jordan placed second with a 39.675.
Jordan also ranks No. 2 on beam with a 9.915 RQS and No. 16 on floor with a 9.910 RQS.
Gnat is No. 8 on floor at 9.925 and No. 25 on beam at 9.870.
Courville is No. 3 on bars with a 9.935 score, and she is No. 7 on vault at 9.930.
For the third straight week Lloimincia Hall ranks No. 1 on floor with a 9.945 RQS.
LSU will wrap up regular season competition Friday when the Tigers travel to Shreveport, La., to take on Centenary and New Hampshire at 7 p.m. CT in the Gold Dome.
The meet will be streamed live on www.Gymnastike.org to all Gold level members.
