BATON ROUGE – Two days before LSU gymnastics wraps up its home schedule against Minnesota, head coach D-D Breaux spent her day on Wednesday visiting several locations to promote LSU.
Breaux started the day by speaking to the entire second grade class at University Laboratory School on campus as part of the class’ “Movers and Shakers” guest speaker series. Breaux spoke on many topics, including the success of women’s athletics at LSU. She also encouraged the class to excel in everything they do whether it be as a person, in the classroom or in athletics.
Afterward Breaux spent the lunch hour at TJ Ribs on Acadian Thruway where she and LSU softball head coach Beth Torina served as guest celebrity hostesses. Not only did Breaux and Torina seat patrons, but they also handed out free tickets to the gymnastics meet on Friday and the softball games this weekend.
Breaux capped the day by supporting the LSU basketball team in its final home game against Tennessee. As has been her custom this spring, Breaux stood in the student section and cheered on the Tigers.
Breaux and the second-ranked LSU gymnastics team will wrap up the home schedule on Friday when the Tigers host No. 16 Minnesota at 7:30 p.m. CT in the Maravich Center.
Tickets to the meet are available at www.LSUtix.net, by calling the LSU Ticket Office at 225-578-2184 or in person on the first floor of the Moran Family Center for Athletic Administration.
LSU (10-1, 7-0 SEC) will honor five seniors prior to the meet, recognizing Rheagan Courville, Lloimincia Hall, Jessie Jordan, Britney Ranzy and Scarlett Williams.
