MONROE, La. – After averaging a double-double for the week and helping his team to a pair of conference road wins, LSU’s Jordan Mickey has been named the Louisiana Sports Writer’s Association’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week after voting by a LSWA panel on Monday.
Mickey opened the week with 14 points and 14 rebounds in the Tigers’ win at Florida on Jan. 20. On Saturday, the LSU forward scored 25 points and snagged 11 rebounds in the overtime win at Vanderbilt.
