BATON ROUGE – In an effort to encourage fans to attend the LSU gymnastics season opener, head coach D-D Breaux will serve as a hostess at TJ Ribs on Acadian Thruway on Thursday.
Breaux will greet and seat patrons during TJ Ribs’ lunch hours from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and again during dinner time from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Breaux will also hand out free tickets to No. 3 LSU’s season opener against Iowa that is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. inside the Maravich Center on Friday.
LSU returns 11 letterwinners from last season’s historic campaign that saw the Tigers achieve new heights in program history. LSU earned a third-place finish in the NCAA Super Six, captured an NCAA regional title and had several gymnasts claim All-America honors.
In addition, Baton Rouge native Rheagan Courville won her second NCAA individual national title on the vault with a record-breaking score last season, and she is back for her senior season in 2015.
Season tickets are still on sale at http://www.lsutix.net/ at a cost of $25 for adults and $15 for youth ages 3-12.
Individual meet tickets are now on sale at a cost of $8 for adults and $5 for youth.
LSU will hold five exciting home meets in 2015, and it all kicks off Friday when the Tigers take on Iowa. Opening ceremonies and introductions will begin at 7:15 p.m. with the meet starting at 7:30.
