Former Lady Tiger Eaton Earns European Tour Card

BATON ROUGE – Former LSU women’s golfer Melissa Eaton earned her tour card for the 2015 season on the Ladies European Tour.

The Lalla Aicha Tour School Final Qualifying took place in Morocco. After a marathon of golf over five rounds on the Al Maaden and Samanah courses, 34 players from 17 different countries earned eligibility for Membership of the Ladies European Tour in Category 8a with a score of one over par or better.

Eaton, who played with her twin sister Nicola for the Tigers in 2004-07, finished on the qualifying number at 1-over 361 with rounds of 76-76-68-68-73. She finished in a group of nine tied for the final spot in the top 30 and ties at T26.

Eaton, who is a native of South Africa, has played on the Symetra Tour the last few years here in the states with one win to her credit in 2013.
