BATON ROUGE – A program-record tying eight LSU gymnastics meets will be televised during the 2015 season, ESPN and the Southeastern Conference office announced Wednesday.
All five of LSU’s home meets will be televised by ESPNU, SEC Network or SEC Network+, the digital-only platform.
In addition, three road meets will be televised. LSU’s conference meets at Auburn on Feb. 13 and at Alabama on Feb. 27 will be on the SEC Network, and the SEC Championship on March 21 will air on ESPN2. The SEC Championship will be tape delayed with first airing slated for March 28 at noon CT.
LSU’s season opener against Iowa on Jan. 9 in the Maravich Center will be on SEC Network+ at 7:30 p.m.
SEC Network+ events can be viewed on http://www.watchespn.com/ or http://www.secnetwork.com/ through authenticated access from COX, AT&T U-verse, Charter, Comcast, DISH, Google Fiber, Suddenlink, and members of the NCTC, NRTC and NTTC.
LSU’s home meet against Missouri on Jan. 23 will broadcast on a tape delay basis by the SEC Network. The meet will first air on Jan. 26 at 6 p.m.
The Tigers will host Georgia on Feb. 6 in a meet that will air on the SEC Network at 7 p.m.
LSU’s Feb. 20 bout in the Maravich Center against Florida will be tape delayed on ESPNU. The first air date is set for Feb. 24 at 4 p.m.
The final home meet against Minnesota on March 6 will air on SEC Network+ at 7:30 p.m.
LSU will kick start the season by hosting Gymnastics 101 inside the Maravich Center on Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. It is a free event that will be a fun showcase of the Tigers’ skills before the 2015 regular season gets underway on Jan. 9.
