ATLANTA – LSU’s sand volleyball team is capping off their fall training program and traveling east to compete in the Collegiate Sand Clash at the state-of-the-art Lakepoint Sporting Complex Saturday, Nov. 15. The action will start at 9 a.m. CT and end at 4 p.m.

The Tigers will be competing against UAB and South Carolina, while also taking on Georgia State and Florida State who both finished in the top-10 last season voted by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

“It should be a great opportunity for our young team to get some really high level competition and expereince,” LSU sand volleyball head coach Russell Brock said. “We only have two returning players who have only been through one sand season, so the experience we will gain actually playing is invaluable for us.”

LSU enters their second season with returning players junior Victoria Boraski and sophomore Emma Hiller, and six new faces. Transfer Callan Molle from Otterbein University along with freshmen Riley Young, Lilly Kessler, Taylor Wilson, Mandi Orelleana and Carly Morris will make their first debut as a Tiger.

“This event will be a perfect cap to our team training,” Brock said. “We plan to come out of this Saturday not only better as individuals and pairs, but also as a more focused program.”
