BATON ROUGE – The LSU marketing department has unveiled its women’s basketball promotions schedule for the upcoming 2014-15 season at the Maravich Center.
In total, LSU will play 15 games inside the Maravich Center where the Lady Tigers have compiled an impressive 40-11 mark during the last three seasons under the direction of head coach Nikki Caldwell.

Kids 12 and younger are encouraged to sign up for the Lady Tigers Ball Exchange. The participants have the opportunity to be on the court during the starting lineup and receive a basketball from one of the players. To sign up, email promotions@lsu.edu or call (225) 578-6884.
Following every Sunday contest, the Lady Tigers will sign autographs on the upper concourse outside of Portal F.
LSU will play host to its annual “Play4Kay” pink game when Georgia visits the Maravich Center on February 19. In efforts to raise awareness for breast cancer and other cancers that affect women’s lives, the Tigers will wear special pink uniforms. The first 1,500 fans will receive a pink rally towel. General admission tickets are $2 for the “Play4Kay” game by using the promo code “WBKPINK” at http://www.lsutix.net/.
One of the most anticipated events at the Maravich Center each season is “Senior Day” which will be held during the LSU’s home finale against Texas A&M. The Lady Tigers also will honor their Final Four legacy and the first 2,000 fans will receive a commemorative poster honoring the 10-year anniversary of the 2005 Final Four team.
LSU will have a pair of “Student Point Games” versus Rutgers on November 22 and against Missouri on February 2 as part of “Pack the PMAC”. Tickets for “Pack the PMAC” are $1.
Special individual game-by-game promotions get underway with the program’s third “EBR Field Trip Game” for Friday’s season opener against Arkansas-Little Rock where the EBR students in attendance will receive a notepad.
As part of the Sue Gunter Classic versus Rutgers on November 22, LSU will hold National Girls and Women in Sports Day where female athletes who have overcome adversity and pushed through barriers will be honored. It will serve to celebrate and encourage young girls to get active and participate in sports. The first 1,000 fans will secure a LSU purple hairband. Afterwards, LSU will play host to its “Dads and Daughters” program where the Lady Tigers will share what motivated them to pursue their dreams. The LSU Tiger Girls will put on a pregame dance clinic leading into the Southeastern Louisiana game on December 14. To register, visit www.LSUsports.net/tigergirls. General admission tickets are available for $2 on gameday with the donation of an unopened toy.
Tickets to LSU’s SEC home opener and the program’s annual “Gold Game” against defending SEC regular season champion South Carolina on January 4 will be free courtesy of the Advocate. The free ticket voucher will be available for download at a later date and must be presented at the ticket office window on gameday for redemption. The first 1,500 fans will add an “All For One” gold t-shirt to its collection.
LSU faculty and staff are encouraged to come out and support the Tigers against Vanderbilt on January 8 as part of “LSU Facility/Staff and Event Staff Appreciation Night”. Tickets are $2 on gameday for LSU Facility/Staff and Event Staff with proof of ID. The first 1,000 fans will pick up the 2014-15 edition of women’s basketball trading cards.
Other giveaways include 1,000 women’s basketball tote bags for the Kentucky game on January 18, 750 snapback hats for the Ole Miss game on January 29 and 1,000 mini basketball for the Alabama game on February 8.
The Lady Tigers begin the 2014-15 regular season with five home games over an eight-day stretch and face off with Arkansas-Little Rock Friday morning during the program’s annual “Field Trip Game” for East Baton Rouge schools.
Tip time is scheduled for 11:32 a.m., and the game will be carried online only by SEC Network Plus via http://www.watchespn.com/ and the Watch ESPN app. Lyn Rollins and Victor Howell will serve as the announcing team.
The LSU Sports Radio Network also will broadcast the game on its flagship station Talk 107.3 FM in Baton Rouge and inside at the Geaux Zone at www.LSUsports.net/live. Patrick Wright, the voice of the Lady Tigers, will call the action.
