BATON ROUGE – The LSU women’s basketball program and Club South Runners will play host to a 5K Banana Relay Run/Walk at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9 following the Lady Tigers exhibition game against Mississippi College.
The event will feature food, drinks, an outdoor autograph session and other festivities. Registration is available by clicking the orange box at http://lsul.su/1o3H6aX.
The course for the 5K relay run/walk will start in front of the Maravich Center, go by the student union, wrap back around the Maravich Center and end at the top of Maravich Center ramps. At that point, the runner will hand the baton to their teammate. Each team will complete a total of four laps.

Since LSU women’s basketball and Club South Runner are non-profit organizational, all sponsorship and product donations to the LSU women’s basketball building fund are 100 percent tax deductible.
Money from the event’s sponsorships will be used to update the women’s basketball facilities, purchase state-of-the-art basketball practice equipment and purchase cutting-edge video technology software to give the Lady Tigers a competitive advantage. These items also will assist in LSU’s development of student-athletes and recruit the nation’s top talent.
LSU has secured three consecutive 20-plus win seasons and three NCAA Tournament appearances highlighted by back-to-back NCAA Sweet 16 trips under Caldwell. The Lady Tigers will host a pair of exhibition games against Loyola at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5 and Mississippi College at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9.
