BATON ROUGE, La. — Alex Bettridge has been named the Southeastern Conference Diver of the Week following her sweep of the one-meter and three-meter springboards against Alabama and Auburn, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Bettridge provided two crucial wins for the Lady Tigers on the way to a win over Alabama. The senior scored 325.40 on three-meter and a season-best score of 304.20 on one-meter. This was the Austin, Texas native’s third win on the year. Bettridge has not placed worse than second in any event so far this season.
It’s Bettridge’s third SEC weekly honor and the first since last October when she swept one-meter and three-meter against Tulane.
The LSU Swimming and Diving team is off this weekend. The full squad opens up its home slate against Incarnate Word on Nov. 15 at the LSU Natatorium.
