LSU sophomore middle blocker Briana Holman had 30 kills and hit .356 on the week against Kentucky and Alabama. Holman averaged 3.75 kills per set and had 19 total blocks for a 2.38 blocks per set average in the two matches against the Wildcats and Crimson Tide, earning 13 or more kills for the ninth time this season. Against UK, the DeSoto, Texas native had 13 kills and had seven blocks, while against Alabama she earned her first double-double of the year with 17 kills on a .406 clip and 12 blocks on the road. The 12 blocks against the Wildcats is tied for the third most in a four-set match by an LSU player in program history.

Notes on the Tigers
LSU is 5-6 on the year and 0-2 in the SEC after dropping matches to Kentucky at home and Alabama on the road. LSU has won three of its last five matches overall, but have dropped the last two after winning the previous three. The Tigers are 4-4 in four set matches and 1-1 in five set matches, having played only one three-set match this season.
