BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU football junior Jamie Keehn and sophomore Colby Delahoussaye made a special trip to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital Monday to volunteer their time with patients and their families.

The two special teams players made their rounds on the third floor of the facility, talking with children, taking pictures, and giving each patient a signed LSU football poster.

“Today was really an awesome and humbling experience,” Delahoussaye said. “It brings you down to earth and makes you realize there is more than football and sports in life. It really changed my view. I look up to those little kids as much as they look up to me.”

From football and sports to favorite super heroes and characters, Keehn and Delahoussaye carried on special conversations with each patient and encouraged the patients and their families.

“It is really good to get out in the community whenever we can,” Keehn said. “With football during the week and weekend, we don’t get a lot of time to spend with the community, so it is always a good thing when we can get out there. We got to give back to the kids and brighten their day up a little bit.”
