Volleyball Unveils Promotions, Giveaway Schedule

BATON ROUGE, La. – With a week until the first home match of the season, the LSU Marketing & Promotions Department has announced the 2014 promotional schedule for the nine home matches scheduled in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center this season.

Admission to all home matches at the PMAC in Baton Rouge is free, compliments of The Advocate’s “Geaux Free” promotion, which includes admission to all soccer and volleyball matches in the fall, and will include some spring sports as well. Fans are encouraged to visit www.lsusports.net/freeticket to print out the ticket to present upon arrival to the event.

2014 Schedule

The promotional year will get underway on Sunday afternoon, as the team hosts its annual free youth clinic from 1:30-3:30 p.m. inside the PMAC. Reservations are still being accepted through Sept. 19 at promotions@lsu.edu. Please include the name and age of all participants attending on Sunday.

The season-long promotions that fans can look out for throughout the year include the ace t-shirt toss, pregame kids tunnel, game ball presentation and the Tiger Fan Zone. Also this year for the four home Friday matches during the season, the Friday Night Meal Deal returns, as LSU Concessions will provide a special menu item for only $7 per meal.

Also this season, the senior project as selected by the upperclassmen volleyball players will be “Meals from Mike”, where fans are asked to bring non-perishable food items that will be collected and given to a local food back here in Baton Rouge.

The season opener against Kentucky next Wednesday will feature a plethora of giveaways, as the match will serve as the team’s “Gold Match”. The first 500 fans through the door will receive Geauxld Digger tank tops, while there will also be 2014 schedule posters and magnets also given away. It will also be a student point night, where LSU students will be able to swipe their Tiger Cards at the end of the match.
