BATON ROUGE – The 2014 cross country season is off and running, and the Tigers and Lady Tigers are set to play host to their annual LSU Invitational meet on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Highland Road Park in Baton Rouge with entries remaining open through Wednesday for all high schools, colleges and junior colleges looking to compete.
Entries will be accepted through the 11:59 a.m. CT deadline on Wednesday and can be submitted through the meet’s official homepage on Direct Athletics. Any interested teams can also contact meet director Andrea Tepe by phone at 225-578-8627 and by email at tepeal@lsu.edu for more information.
While the LSU Invitational returns to Highland Road Park next Saturday, the race will feature a newly-designed 5k course for both men and women at the high school and college levels that will be more runner-friendly with smoother transitions from one section to another producing faster times than in past seasons.
