BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU’s baseball media guide has been voted No. 1 in the nation for the second straight year, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Friday in the organization’s yearly contest.
The 2013 edition of the 208-page media guide was written and edited by Senior Associate Sports Information Director Bill Franques, with editorial assistance from student assistant SID Seth Medvin.

The guide was designed by Graphic Design Coordinator Krystal Bennett, and photography was provided by Steve Franz, Hilary Scheinuk and Chris Parent.
The guide serves as a complete source of LSU baseball information, including coach and player bios, statistics, notes, records and a summary of the program’s storied history.
The LSU baseball media guide has been voted best in the nation four times, and it has been rated among the top six college baseball publications in the nation in 16 of the past 21 seasons.
The LSU baseball poster also received recognition from CoSIDA, placing No. 2 in the nation in the winter/spring sports category.
The LSU Sports Information Department received during the 2012-13 season a total of nine CoSIDA publications awards, the most of any school in the country.
