BATON ROUGE – LSU men’s basketball coach Johnny Jones will host a monthly series of basketball luncheons for the general public beginning this Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the L’Auberge Resort off Nicholson Dr. south of the LSU campus.
The luncheon will be held at the Bon Temps Buffet located on the main floor at L’Auberge in Baton Rouge. The all-you-can-eat buffet charge is $13.95 per person. The luncheon is open to the public and the program will begin at noon.
At the first luncheon, Jones will discuss the state of the Tiger program entering the start of practice later that week and preview the “Pass A Good Time” event with the men’s and women’s basketball teams set for Oct. 11 at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. LSU opens its 2012-13 regular season on Friday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. in the Maravich Center against UC Santa Barbara.
Future luncheons will also feature guest speakers and a question and answer session with the audiences. The luncheons will conclude by 12:45 p.m.
The other scheduled dates for the month luncheons are: Nov. 14, Dec. 4, Jan. 15, Feb. 5 and March 7.
