Volleyball's Purple & Gold Scrimmage on Aug. 18

CST to Air LSU-Texas A&M Volleyball Match

BATON ROUGE – Cox Sports Television [CST], LSU’s regional cable sports network partner, will televise LSU volleyball’s match with Texas A&M held on October 26 as announced Friday by the network. The contest will keep its original 7 p.m. start time.

The addition of the A&M match gives the Tigers five regular season home contests featured on television. LSU moves into the 2012 season as the defending seven-time SEC Western Division champions and one of 25 programs to qualify for six of the last seven NCAA Tournaments.

2012 Schedule

CST, the New Orleans-based sports network is carried on cable systems in Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia after being launched in October 2002. CST can be seen on channel 1037 on Cox Cable in Baton Rouge and also is available to Dish Network subscribers (Channel 421) in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans markets.

LSU will hold its annual Purple & Gold Scrimmage on Saturday, August 18 at 4:30 p.m. inside the Maravich Center. Admission to the scrimmage and all 2012 home matches at the Maravich Center are free compliments of the Advocate’s “Geaux Free” program.

Leading into the scrimmage, the Tigers will instruct basic volleyball skills starting at 2 p.m. during a free kid’s clinic. The clinic is open to all children eighth grade and under.
