BATON ROUGE – Coming off a 196.300-195.700 victory at Iowa last week, the LSU gymnastics team increased its regional qualifying score to a 196.440 to check in at No. 10 in the latest GymInfo rankings released Monday.
It is the third-straight week the Tigers have appeared in the top 10 of the standings.
LSU will put its top 10 ranking to the test when the Tigers take on West Virginia at 7 p.m. CT Friday at the Maravich Center in the final home meet of the season.
Tickets are still available by logging on to www.LSUtix.net, calling the LSU Ticket Office at 225-578-2184 or in person at the ticket office or at the arena Friday. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for youth, ages 3-12.
LSU (6-8) remained eighth in the team vault standings with a 49.310 RQS and No. 11 on floor at 49.165. The Tigers checked in at No. 11 on beam with a 49.045 RQS and moved up two spots to No. 13 on bars at 49.035.
In the individual rankings, freshman Rheagan Courville moved up one spot to No. 2 nationally on vault with a 9.925 RQS, and she also appeared at No. 9 in the all-around (39.370), No. 20 on floor (9.880) and No. 25 on bars (9.865).
Lloimincia Hall ranks sixth on floor with a 9.900 RQS and 13th in the all-around at 39.315. Jessie Jordan is 16th on beam with a 9.865 mark and No. 17 in the all-around at 39.280.
The top five remained unchanged with Florida atop the rankings with a 197.330 RQS, followed by Oklahoma at 197.310, UCLA at 197.140, Alabama at 197.065 and Georgia at 196.995.
For the second-straight week, all seven SEC teams earned a spot in the top 25 with Arkansas at No. 9, Auburn at No. 14 and Kentucky at 23.
