BATON ROUGE – LSU’s 1981 and 1986 Final Four teams and their head coach Dale Brown will be honored at the College Basketball Awards Breakfast hosted by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association on Friday, March 30, at 8 a.m. at the New Orleans Marriott. The event is held annually in conjunction with the NCAA Men’s Final Four.
In addition, the USBWA will present the Oscar Robertson Trophy to the National Player of the Year and the Henry Iba Award to the National Coach of the Year.

Proceeds benefit the USBWA’s scholarship program and the USBWA will make a donation to the National Kidney Foundation on behalf of basketball great Oscar Robertson who is expected to attend the event.
The 1981 LSU Tigers reached the Final Four in Philadelphia and the 1986 team played in the Final Four in Dallas.
