BATON ROUGE – The LSU gymnastics team held steady at No. 14 in the latest national rankings released Monday by GymInfo, and for the first time this season the Tigers made an appearance in the top 25 in all four event standings.
LSU’s season average jumped from 194.900 to 195.145 after a stellar performance in a 196.125-195.050 victory against Kentucky last Friday.
LSU (2-6, 2-2 Southeastern Conference) ranked seventh nationally on vault with a 49.245 average, 12th on floor (48.935), 23rd on bars (48.570) and 24th on beam (48.395).
Individually, Rheagan Courville remained fourth on vault with a 9.920 average, and she moved up to No. 20 in the all-around standings at 39.205.
Lloimincia Hall moved up to 16th on floor with a 9.870 after she captured her third floor title of the season with a 9.875 against Kentucky.
Utah retained the top spot in the rankings with a 197.031 average, and Alabama shot up to No. 2 with a 196.675 average. Arkansas (196.667), Florida (196.630) and Oklahoma (196.613) round out the top five.
