BATON ROUGE – LSU freshmen gymnasts Rheagan Courville and Lloimincia Hall earned top 15 rankings in vault and floor, respectively, in the latest rankings posted by GymInfo Monday.
Courville is ranked 10th nationally on vault with a 9.90 average after two meets, and Hall is 13th on floor with a 9.875 average.
LSU (1-4, 1-0 Southeastern Conference) checked in at No. 25 in the team rankings with a 193.763 average, marking the 154th consecutive poll and 530th straight week the Tigers have appeared in the top 25. The last time LSU was not ranked in the top 25 was Feb. 26, 2001.
The rankings are calculated by using the total season average, so the team ranking is an average of LSU’s season-opening 192.500 score and last week’s 195.025 against Auburn.
LSU ranks ninth on vault with a 49.113 team average and 13th on floor with a 48.875 average.
Nebraska ranks No. 1 nationally with a 197.375 after just one meet. Utah is second at 196.713.
Arkansas, LSU’s opponent on Friday, ranks No. 3 in the nation with a 196.550 average, and the Razorbacks enter the meet 5-0 overall and 1-0 against SEC competition.
