BATON ROUGE – The LSU softball team gathered Thursday morning on the fifth floor of the Athletics/Administration Building to film video pieces that will be shown during the upcoming 2012 season at Tiger Park.

Filmed by Television Producer David Landry and Manager of Television John Schiebe, the Tigers answered questions for between inning segments which included teammate you wouldn’t want to be stranded with on a deserted island, pregame rituals and the seven ways to get to first base.

Players also had the opportunity to imitate their teammates batting stance and sing their own rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”

LSU ushers in the next chapter of its storied history under first-year coach Beth Torina versus Penn State on February 10 at the Tiger Classic. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. and the Tigers also have tilts against Michigan and Louisiana Tech on opening weekend.

LSU returns 17 players from its 2011 roster sparked by NFCA All-American Third-Team and All-SEC First-Team selection Brittany Mack along with All-SEC Freshman Team pick Simone Heyward. The Tigers notched a 40-18 record and made their 13th NCAA Regional appearance last season.
