LAKE CHARLES, La. – LSU placed two Cross Country runners on the Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-Louisiana Team as senior Cullen Doody was named to the men’s team and junior Leigh-Ann Naccari was named to the women’s team.
Doody Finished inside the top 10 at three of LSU’s six meets in 2011, highlighted by a victory (25:23.42) in the individual race at the Bulldog Invitational. He was the first LSU runner across the finish line in five of six races.
Doody also produced a 19th place performance at the SEC Championship with a time that was the 20th best SEC 8k time in 2011. His finish at the McNeese Cowboys Stampede was the best four mile time (19:40.00) in the SEC this season. Doody’s time (30:59.50) at the Chile Pepper Festival was the 10th best SEC 10k time.
Naccari was named to the women’s team after a season, which saw her finish in the top five at the LSU invitational and at the McNeese Cowboys Stampede.
She notched a top-10 finish at the Bulldog Invitational, and was the first Lady Tiger finisher at the opening three meets of the season.
Naccari also posted the 19th best time (17:48.00) in the SEC over 5k at McNeese Cowboys Stampede.
Tulane’s Paige Callahan was named Women’s Runner of the Year and ULM’s Daniel Mutai was named Men’s Runner of the Year.
