BATON ROUGE – Members of the LSU women’s golf team embraced the opportunity and took advantage of the long break between its fall and spring seasons to visit the patients at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.
As the Lady Tigers traveled room-to-room throughout the hospital, they greeted and cheered for numerous patients and handed out signed team posters.
Sophomore Lindsay Gahm, a new addition to the program as a transfer from Indiana, appreciated and enjoyed the opportunity to visit the children.
“There is nothing better than giving back to the community,” Gahm said. “It’s great being able to see the smiles on all the children’s faces.”
This event is hosted by LSU’s Life Skills/Student-Athlete Affairs Program, which aims for every athletic team to visit the children’s hospital. The Tiger volleyball is scheduled to take part in the next hospital visit on Sunday, November 27.
