BATON ROUGE – With national attention at an all-time high in anticipation of Saturday’s matchup between top-ranked LSU and second-ranked Alabama, ESPN spent the day with the Tigers on Tuesday for “Inside the Program”, which aired all day on the network’s various platforms.
LSU and Alabama square off on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Tuscaloosa in what will be the first 1 vs. 2 regular season matchup in the history of the Southeastern Conference. The game will be televised on CBS.
LSU Football “Inside the Program” will also be aired as part of a 30-minute show on ESPNU on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday’s access with the Tigers started with ESPN reporter Erin Andrews accompanying head coach Les Miles on his drive to work, which included the coach dropping off his three kids – Manny, Ben, and Macy – at school. From there, Andrews had interviews with Miles and defensive coordinator John Chavis.
Other interviews throughout the day included Andrews with quarterback Jarrett Lee in the LSU weight room, one with center T-Bob Hebert in the players’ lounge and one with cornerback Morris Claiborne in the defensive backs meeting room.
The interviews conducted by Andrews were aired numerous times on Tuesday on SportsCenter, First Take, and College Football Live.
ESPN will spend Wednesday going “Inside the Program” at Alabama.
