BATON ROUGE – The Cox Communications Academic Center for Student Athletes recently hired Dr. Audrey Phillips to serve as the Senior Associate Director for Student Learning.

“I’m really excited to join this team of dynamic professionals,” Phillips said. “The CCACSA staff is well known in the SEC and in the country for its commitment to total student-athlete development. I’m really looking forward to working with this program and assisting our students in working toward their personal and career goals.”

Phillips comes to LSU with experience from Auburn University  having served as an academic counselor, instructor and coordinator of student development programs. She also has experience from City Colleges of Chicago, Ill., where she served as Assistant Dean of Student Services and Director of Athletics.

“Dr. Phillips comes to us with a wealth of experience within the areas of advising, tutoring, and mentoring, but more importantly she is committed to the total development of student-athletes,” Executive Director Kenneth Miles said. “It gives me great pleasure to have Dr. Phillips be a part of the LSU family as we strive to be the premiere provider of student-athlete support services in the country.”

In 2010, Phillips received a Ph. D in Administration in Higher Education from Auburn University. She also has a master’s degree in Counseling and bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and English.
