BATON ROUGE – LSU Athletics will host its 16th-Annual Halloween BOOzar in the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 6:30-8 p.m. The BOOzar provides a safe trick-or-treating environment and allows children to interact with LSU student-athletes.
Families will be greeted by student-athletes, coaches, trainers, cheerleaders, the Tiger Girls and even Mike the Tiger. Every Tiger team will have an activity related to their sport for children to participate in. Trick-or-treaters also will be able to take pictures and get autographs from their favorite players. The student-athletes will be dressed in their Halloween costumes, so children are encouraged to wear their costumes as well.
Admission is free, however LSU Athletics asks visitors to bring canned goods that will be donated to Campus Life’s CANapalooza. These cans will be used to build a replica of Tiger Stadium on the LSU Parade Ground during Homecoming week, and will be donated to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank after the event.
