Mannari kept up her strong defensive season as LSU’s libero as the Tigers split their matches over the weekend. She corralled 33 digs at a crisp 4.71 per set average. For the season, Mannari has stretched out for 10 or more digs during 14 of her 16 outings. The Frisco, Texas, product also added a pair of aces and scored a point on her serve during five of her last seven matches. She also stayed among the SEC’s best with a 0.42 per set ratio.

Notes on the Tigers
The LSU volleyball team split its road matches over the weekend and maintained a half-match edge at the top of the SEC Western Division standings. The Tigers claimed a 3-1 triumph over South Carolina before falling in three sets to No. 13 Florida. LSU’s offense was limited to a .136 team hitting percentage, including a season-low .027 ratio versus the Gators. Defensively, Meghan Mannari racked up 4.71 digs per set and has reached double figure scoops in 14 of her 16 appearances. Lauren Waclawczyk reeled in a season-best 19 digs against South Carolina. For her career, Waclawczyk has garnered 1,151 career digs and enters next weekend’s action 19 scoops away from Detra Brown [1983-86] for the No. 8 spot on the program’s all-time list. Marissa Maas moved into the starting lineup during the weekend and recorded a team-high seven blocks, a 1.00 per set average. On the offensive side, Desiree Elliott, Madie Jones and Michele Williams racked up 77 percent of LSU’s kills during the weekend. The trio combined for 50 kills in the South Carolina match as Williams and Elliott struck for season-highs with 18 and 17 spikes, respectively. Elliott had her run of 12 straight matches with 10 or more kills come to a close at Florida. Malorie Pardo handed out 50 assists and added 12 digs to notch her sixth double-double of the season versus the Gamecocks. LSU returns to the friendly confines of the Maravich Center and embarks on a four-match homestand against Georgia [Friday at 7 p.m. CT] and Auburn [Sunday at 1 p.m. televised by CST]. The Tigers have collected a 151-50 record and claimed six consecutive SEC Western Division titles since 2005. LSU also has tallied the nation’s 12th-best winning percentage and is one of 18 programs nationally to secure six straight NCAA Tournament appearances going back to 2005.
