BATON ROUGE — The LSU gymnastics team volunteered their services Thursday evening at University at Crescent Lakes condominiums in a fundraiser event to find a cure for prostate cancer.
The gymnasts split into small groups to assist during the event, and they served food, greeted guests, and cleaned up throughout the fundraiser.
“It’s very humbling to do anything we can for our community that does so much for us,” sophomore gymnast Maliah Mathis said.
All the money raised at the event will fund research for finding a cure for prostate cancer.
LSU continued fall practice Friday and will take part in the first team intrasquad meet Oct. 14.
