Wish Picture Shows will premiere “Ole War Skule: The Story of Saturday Night” on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Manship Theatre.  Celebrating the history of LSU football from 1893 to present, the film shares more than 80 interviews that paint a comprehensive picture of one of the most prestigious football schools in America.

“From Waterford, Ireland where the BCS trophy is made to Austin, Texas to witness the re-creation of the championship rings and back to Tiger Stadium, ‘Ole War Skule: The Story of Saturday Night’ documents the pageantry of Saturday night in Tiger Stadium,” said Wish Picture Shows’ John Haynes of his latest film.

Surrounded by athletic memorabilia, movie-goers will not only view the pageantry of Saturday Night but experience some of the pre-game excitement on October 5th.  Complete with performances by members of the LSU Spirit Squads, guests are invited to an exclusive event where they can have their photo taken on the famous Tiger Eye with Mike the Tiger. Guests will also be the first experience an artshow based on the film created by the film’s director John Darling Haynes and  enjoy “cocktails and concessions” with fans and friends before the film.

The Oct. 5 premiere evening is a private event which begins at 5:30 p.m. with the film starting at 7:00 p.m. Additional viewing dates at the Manship Theatre are Oct. 16 and Nov. 22.
