Williams garnered All-Tournament honors for the second consecutive weekend. She racked up 3.50 kills per set on a .302 hitting percentage to go along with 1.08 blocks and 1.00 digs per set. The Magnolia, Texas, native powered home 15 kills and recorded a career-best nine blocks versus Western Kentucky. Williams belted 13 kills on a .571 hitting clip during LSU’s sweep of Wake Forest.

Mannari posted three straight double digit efforts at the WKU Tournament. She anchored the SEC’s No. 2 defensive unit with 4.42 digs and added 0.83 assists per set. For the season, Mannari has secured 10 or more digs in eight of nine outings. She reeled in 19 scoops and cranked a pair of aces against Xavier.

Malorie Pardo, S, Fr., League City Texas
Pardo notched a trio of double-doubles as the Tigers concluded their non-conference slate at the WKU Tournament. She is the first LSU freshman to accomplish that feat since former All-American Daniela Romero in 2003. The League City, Texas, native secured 11.58 assists, 2.50 digs and 0.50 blocks per set over the weekend. In the process, Pardo vaulted from fourth place to the top spot of the assists per set rankings in the SEC. She handed out 50 assists, 10 assists and matched a career-best four blocks versus Xavier. During LSU’s 3-0 victory over Wake Forest, Pardo fueled the Tigers to a .302 hitting clip and distributed 41 assists to go along with 10 digs.

Notes on the Tigers
The LSU volleyball team heads into SEC action with a 7-3 record after the Tigers swept Wake Forest before dropping a pair of hard-fought decisions to Xavier and Western Kentucky last weekend. In the process, LSU had its 16-match September winning streak come to a close. The Tigers also were handed back-to-back setbacks for the first time since the 2008 season. Michele Williams picked up All-Tournament Team honors for the second consecutive weekend. She racked up 3.50 kills per set highlighted by a trio of double digit kill efforts on a .302 hitting percentage. The SEC’s blocks per set leader also notched a career-high nine stuffs versus Western Kentucky. Desiree Elliott continued her strong play and has powered home 10 or more kills in six straight matches. The Cypress, Texas, native continues to be ranked among the SEC’s Top 10 in kills per set [3.61 – 5th], points per set [4.47 – 5th], blocks per set [1.06 – 6th] and hitting percentage [.332 – 9th]. She’s the only player in the league to be ranked in four different categories. After compiling three straight double-doubles, Malorie Pardo vaulted from fourth place to the top spot of the SEC’s assist rankings and has distributed 11.32 helpers per frame. She’s the first LSU freshman to string together three consecutive double-doubles since former All-American Daniela Romero in 2003. LSU’s defense limited its opponents to a .193 hitting percentage and totaled 2.58 blocks per set over the weekend. Meghan Mannari anchored the back row with three solid performances and is 63 digs away from securing 500 scoops for her career. The Frisco, Texas, product has produced 10 or more digs in eight of her nine appearances on the season. LSU finishes off its eight-match road trip and embarks on SEC action with back-to-back divisional tilts. The Tigers square off with Ole Miss [Friday at 7 p.m.] and Alabama [Sunday at 1:30 p.m.]. Dating back to the 2005 season, LSU has collected a 147-47 record and claimed six consecutive SEC Western Division titles. The Tigers also have tallied the nation’s 11th-best winning percentage and are one of 18 programs nationally to secure six consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances since 2005.
