BATON ROUGE – The 2011 LSU volleyball media guide is now accessible online and fans can order their copy exclusively on LSUsports.net. Cost of the media guide is $15, which includes shipping and handling. Geaux Zone members can purchase the guide for the discounted price of $7.50.
The 108-page guide features an in-depth look at the 2011 team and coaching staff in addition to a look back at the 2010 season where the Tigers claimed their sixth consecutive SEC Western Division title and NCAA Tournament appearance. The guide also provides a detailed history and records section.
Delivery of the guides will begin next week. Please allow up to two weeks for delivery via the United States Postal Service.
The 2011 LSU volleyball poster also is available for purchase online. The piece incorporates each of the 11 returnees to the team highlighted by seniors Lauren Waclawczyk and Michele Williams in the center. Posters are $1 each, and shipping is $5.95 for 1-10 posters incrementally more based on the number of posters ordered.
The Tigers started their preseason camp earlier this week, and the annual Purple & Gold scrimmage set for Saturday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. inside the Maravich Center.
LSU opens the regular season at home by welcoming Alcorn State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Jacksonville State and 2010 NCAA Tournament participant Miami, Fla. for the Tiger Classic on Aug. 26-27.
Fans are encouraged to take advantage of the Geaux Free program for all matches this season compliments of The Advocate. The Tigers have compiled a 62-10 mark at home dating back to the 2005 season.
